LEGENDARY US producer NARADA MICHAEL WALDEN
produces new HAPPYLIFE single, “ALIVE” as band prepare
to national tour UK with Terrorvision “Listen carefully
to their debut album and singer Kevin Brown has something of the
Brian Molko about him in explosive pop opener ‘Breath For
Me’, but it’s more lucky coincidence than actual likeness.
Happylife inhabit that safe place between accessible melody and
rock ‘n’ roll cool that’s allowed so many guitar
bands to enter the charts of late, whether Busted or the Foo Fighters.
Their saving grace is they do it extremely well.” 7/10, Victoria
Durham, Rock Sound, November 2004. ‘happylife’ storm
back into the UK scene with new sensational ex ‘KILL 2 THIS’
drummer, Steve Rooney, a full onslaught UK national tour supporting
TERRORVISION and a stunning new single, “ALIVE”, produced
by the legendary US producer, NARADA MICHAEL WALDEN.
After hearing the song on a demo, WALDEN contacted the bands
label, ALBERT PRODUCTIONS, flew to London at his own expense,
promptly hired a string section and produced the stunning mainstream
soon-to-be HUGE radio hit that is “ALIVE”. A soaring
mid tempo track with tinges of Oasis, Coldplay et al… this
remarkable song should catapult ‘happylife’ to a deserved
position of mainstream recognition.
The nucleus of the band hail from West London and include Kevin
Brown, (vocals) Ian Pellman (guitar), Chris Drinkwater (bass)
and new drummer Steve Rooney. Having ‘lost’ two previous
drummers in ’04, ‘happylife’ are back with a
vengeance and Brown describes Rooney as ‘simply the most
astounding drummer we’ve ever had the pleasure to play with
and we’ve auditioned over 220 in the last two years!!’
Armed with new purpose the band embark on a full scale UK tour
in April (supporting TERRORVISION) to promote the release of their
single “ALIVE” and also to re promote their debut
album “Sweet Resort”, released in the last quarter
of ’04.

Two months ago at a gig in Norwich, top British video director
Nick Small (GobTV) happened to be in the crowd. Nick was so enthused
by the band that he terminated his early retirement to insist
on directing the new video. He mustered the experience of numerous
years of success to direct a video which is going to shock and
excite TV and media ! Nick (GobTV) was the top UK video director
in 1994/95/96 having made videos for artists as wide ranging as

| Breathe For Me |
| 13.08.03 |
| Some bands deliver brilliant live shows but don't
cut the mustard in the studio. SOME bands carve out excellence
in the studio through sheer bloody mindedness, talent and graft
but can't cut it live, while others stumble inadvertently into
the limelight, prepared or otherwise
and then there are rare
jewels in the crown, who not only deliver all of the above and
more. Welcome to happylife, a new British four piece gifted with
an unnerving and innate talent for simply writing BRILLIANT songs
and performing them live with gut wrenching conviction. For happylife,
it's the pyramids, or they simply aren't happy!
New, exciting and awesomely tight, this act from West London
release their debut UK single 'BREATHE FOR ME' on the newly formed

| Original Biography |
| 24.09.02 |
| happylife are an awesomely tight new four piece
rock band from West London. Far from being happy with life they
are hungry beyond belief. Kevin (vocals and guitar), Ian (guitar)
and Chris (Bass), first got together in 1998, inspired by a common
hate of Britpop, a love of harder edged 90's bands such as Alice
In Chains and Soundgarden, 80's synth pop, and a large dose of
classic artists such as Hendrix, The Jam, The Doors, U2 and the
Stones.........
